It's pretty cold this morning dont you think? 6 Degrees says the online reports. Far from the 13 degrees of a few days ago. I'm still yet to make my first buck from them. However, I have been getting some traction online in the forms of engagement (likes, comments, and subscribers) - which is a good sign. Now I need to colour yesterdays piece called 'Mushroom Snack' and then plan the next stage of the story. I was dreaming up a world in my head after reading. I was up last night reading Richard Dawkin's 'The Magic of Reality', it's a very easy read so far - I like it. The answer to my financial problems at this point is to go hard on production. I've been creating stuff relatively consistently, but my output hasn't been cosistent enough. Or at least as not as consistent as a man in my position should be outputting. With that said, it's time for me to colour yesterday's piece and edit it. I recorded the inking process, and I intend on now recording the colouring process. The I'm going to turn that into a sort of process video. I'm not sure whether to play music over the top of it or talk. Music would be generated by AI, it can make a good tune but I worry it would get boring. Talking could also be boring to some, and I'm not even sure I'd have anything to talk about. Let's operate as a profressional, and do first things first - colour. Be right back. Oh, and for the record, I'm listening to Astrud Gilberto's 1965 album 'The Astrud Gilberto Album'. It's quite a melancholy one, but pleasing to the ears none the less. Ok that's the colouring finished. It took 90 minutes. I've sped up the video to make it around 8 minutes long and combined it with the inking timelapse. Now I'm exporting it and I think I'm going to go with the commentary style voice over. Talking about whatever I want to. To be honest it's pretty much just this aloud. Total video length is 12:58. That was my personal sweet spot when it comes to videos in this style. Alternatively, I like a really long form video, like an hour. For now though, seeing as I'm not sure how long I can speak for, I'm going with 12-15 mins. Scanning in the sequence now. I'm really struggling with the music for the animation right now. I've tried harmonica but it doesn't feel quite right. Finally generated some music that fits. All done. Onto the next one with the lessons learned.
